In my efforts to learn book marketing, I’ve had a few successes lately… one being that several wonderful book bloggers have featured my books! One of them is “Book Reviews and More,” edited by the Steve McEvoy, who reviewed A Voice is Born (book 2) and said:
“I love the close knit Orthodox community even though geographically they are spread apart. And I love the way Ruthford crafts his characters and plots. The events are plausible. And the interactions between the tweens and teens is like a peek into their lives and thought processes. ” The full review is available here.
Earlier, he reviewed Voice in the Storm (book 1) and said:
“I love the Robo Baby. And a young girl trying to help her dad not OD really hit close to home… The stories remind me of Madeleine L’Engle’s Chronos or real time series and books. The characters could be people you know in your church or neighbourhood.” The full review is available here.

Wayne Walker, in his blog “Home School Book Review,” said about Voice in the Storm (book 1):
“The story-line is interesting and easy to follow, with a great deal of suspense in the last section. Some of the kids are homeschooled. The campers help their friends, grow in faith, make ketchup bottles explode, and try to avoid the director’s quirky punishments for breaking the camp’s no-kissing rule… Perhaps, Voice in the Storm will best appeal to Orthodox teens, but the observant non-Orthodox reader will learn a lot about Orthodox traditions, especially their music.” Read the full review here.

Regina Felty, author of the recently released “Piece of Me Everywhere,” posted a review of “Voice in the Storm” on Goodreads, and I’ll quote an excerpt from it here:
Helene tries–she really does–but after two campers end up in a fistfight and Father Nektarii’s coffee blows up as a result of a prank, he’s had it. Crushed from being demoted and sent back to the high school girl’s cabin with her pride in shambles, Helene tries to keep a brave front. Read the full review here.
I also reviewed Regina’s book here and here is a link to her author page.
