Nope. He’s serious. And he’s a dragon shifter.

Kelley didn’t sign up for this. But she has her own allies.
And she’s gonna show him just what the daughter of a vacuum cleaner repairman is made of.

Tropes present
Rejection leads to reformation Anthony proposes at the beginning of the book and briefly becomes Kelley’s fiance. Unexpected things occur. For example, Kelley turns into a dragon, and Anthony turns into Kelley’s ex-fiance. He has lots of issues to work through before he can propose again.
Superpower oops Kelley accepts Anthony’s proposal because she doesn’t think any of it is serious, and then she’s turned into a dragon.
Parallel world Kelley is transported somewhere else to complete her transformation into a dragon. Upon returning, she wants to go right back to normal life, but it turns out her parents are also aware of this parallel world, too.
Second chance While Kelley is righteously irritated over having been turned into a dragon, she never quite gets over being attracted to Anthony. He spends most of the novel as her ex-fiance, and then must work to win her back.
