There are twenty-five books and about a hundred tropes linked together. Please click below to get started.

Explanation

This is a wiki that collects indie books and connects the tropes within the books. It’s an experimental wiki created with the yada extension by me (Eric Thomas Ruthford) to organize summaries of books I have read as I learn more about my genre.

How it came to be

Last summer I went to the Realm Makers Consortium conference in Grand Rapids, Mich., and had a wonderful time. Realm Makers are authors who make science fiction and fantasy that also include religious themes. The books are considered too weird for Christian writers’ conferences and too Christian for Comicon. There were lots of indie books on sale, and I was determined to read all the books.

Alas, there was not time as there was too much to do at the conference. So I took pictures with my phone of the books on sale, such as this one:

And then I was determined to read them at home as e-books. And I have read some of them. The book Regeneration: A clean fae adventure, with lots of found family in the above picture, was one of them. Not content to just review the books as I read them, I wanted to connect them to each other with their tropes and themes. For example, I found many books with Found family and thought this would be a nice way to link them together. So I have created this experimental wiki with twenty-five books. I am now showing this wiki to other authors to get their feedback. I think this could be a marketing tool as well as a reader participation tool as they could include their favorite books as well.

About me

I write books, too. I have four out on the market and three in the works, two of which will be sci-fi. Here’s the front of my author page.
